Great Engine

The Jetta hasn’t always had the best engine, that’s no secret. However, this latest version boasts perhaps the best one to go under the Jetta hood so far. The 1.4L TSI engine produces 147 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. Coupled with either the 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic with Tiptronic shift, this engine is peppy and lively and feels great on the road. The 2020 Volkswagen Jetta is a joy to drive, thanks in part to the power beneath the hood, but also thanks to a great MacPherson strut suspension setup and great handling, as well. Regardless of trim chosen, the 1.4L is equipped and only FWD is available.

Another reason why it’s easy to love the 2020 Volkswagen Jetta is the onboard safety features it offers. With available adaptive cruise control, along with stop and go technology – that keeps you moving with the flow of traffic without hitting the brake or throttle when traffic slows and picks up again – along with lane assist, blind spot detection and light assist (a system that automatically dims high beams when it detects oncoming traffic so you don’t have to worry about it).
